2016 CeraCutXL® – the grinder with fourfold output
The extra large high-efficiency grinder CeraCutXL® is a totally new innovation: compared to standard mills, the mills with CeraCutXL® grinder not only produce four times the amount but even larger peppercorns, such as Tasmanian pepper or allspice can be ground reliably.

The 2015 edition of DOTS – unique surface structure
Stainless steel surfaces for use in the kitchen and in interior areas mostly come with a polished surface.
With the latest development of the DOTS edition, a stainless steel surface is available, the surface structure of which is designed through a sophisticated etching process. This enables patterns and structures to be engraved on the surface, which lends the products unique visuals and haptics.
2014 DUOSPICE – the first seasoning cutter and mill to have an original AdHoc PreciseCut® and a high-efficiency ceramic grinder
For the first time ever, the DUOSPICE combines two different systems for the preparation of seasoning. On the one hand, there is the original AdHoc PreciseCut® for dried herbs and spices such as chilli, red pepper, ginger, sesame and much more. On the other, the odour- and flavour-neutral, and completely rust- and wear-free, high-efficiency ceramic grinder, which has proven its value since 1996, is used. Since it is harder than steel, it not only prepares pepper reliably, it is also ideal for the hardest varieties of salt.

2014 DUOMILL MINI –
the smallest double mill in the world
– a miracle of space
Ten years after the introduction of the smallest stainless steel mill in the world with an adjustable grinder, in 2014, the smallest double mill in the world with separate grinders was launched.
The DUOMILL MINI combines the advantages of a small, compact mill with the advantages of two grinders for the simultaneous preparation of salt and pepper.

2013 Introduction of refillable cooling sticks – for the long-lasting cooling of drinks
Cooling sticks enable drinks to be chilled from the inside. The full chilling output of the cooling medium is introduced into the drink which requires chilling. Once the cooling sticks have done their job they have to be returned to the freezer drawer for a considerable length of time again.
With the development of cooling sticks that can be refilled at any time thanks to ice sticks which can be manufactured separately, it is now possible for drinks to stay cold for much longer. Moreover, the cooling sticks no longer have to be chilled directly in the freezer drawer, which prevents a negative impact on the flavour.
With the ICEBAR and ICEPOUR bottle cooling sticks, the cooling sticks stay in the bottle during pouring.
2012 Precise+® – external precision-fine setting with the automatic adjustment of the high efficiency grinder
When changing the setting from coarse to fine grinding, it is necessary to start by shaking the grist out of the mill so that it is possible to adjust the degree of grinding.
The innovative, external precision setting with the automatic adjustment of the high efficiency Precise+® grinder means it is possible to change directly from the coarsest to the finest settings without having to shake the grist out of the grinder beforehand.
At the same time, the grinding levels can be also set at mutually coordinated steps, from coarsely grained to finely powdered.

2010 Introduction of the world’s first original AdHoc PreciseCut®
Cutting instead of grinding for a new flavour experience: It is simply the correct use of the different herbs and spices that make a meal into a positive flavour experience. Along with the selection of the suitable seasoning, their correct preparation is also important.
The original AdHoc PreciseCut® was developed so that the flavours of the herbs and spices that are used unfurl in full. It has special blades which are made from stainless steel with etched teeth that are as sharp as a knife. These are designed so that the dried herbs and spices are cut instead of ground. The flavours unfurl to provide a completely new experience of pleasure!
2008 Planet+® – the first mills in the
world to include a gear for easy grinding
Mills with Planet+® have a gear which multiplies the power of the mill with a sophisticated mechanism. This enables exceptionally hard grist such as rough salts to be ground down with ease.

2008 FLOATEA – the first
floating tea infuser
You're bound to be familiar with them: those grey stainless steel tea infusers which are attached to a small chain – and which quickly get lost in your kitchen drawer. Thanks to the FLOATEA, the tea infuser has been rescued from its shady existence. Ever since it appeared, preparing tea with the floating tea infuser hasn't just been a pleasure, it is also hugely practical, since the residual liquid from the tea infuser can be caught in the draining stand after use.

2007 The first double mill in the world to have two separate grinders – the perfect versatility
Why use two when it works with just one? With the world's first double mill to feature two entirely separate grinders, space wasn't only made on the table – it also became possible to prepare salt and pepper in a single mill.
Customers have enjoyed making use of the practical DUOMILL for many years.
2006 BIVITRI – the first double-walled
glass range from AdHoc
In 2006, it was time for a range of products made from double-walled borosilicate glass to be introduced. These were products that had a specific function. This range of products included, for example, coffee makers, milk jugs and more. In addition to the products’ excellent functionality, with Bivitri, the double-walled design also ensures exceptional visuals.

2004 MINIMILL – the smallest mill in the
world to feature grinding setting
The MINIMILL is a small, compact pepper or salt mill which is suitable for everyday use, and which has a grinding setting feature despite its small size. Ever since its introduction in 2004, its compact size and full functionality has made it a popular travel companion and a gourmet mill for the preparation of exclusive varieties of salt or pepper.
1998 Introduction of ceramic knives
Until 1998, ceramic was usually only to be found in the kitchen and on the table in the form of tableware as dishes or bowls. Before then, the suitability of ceramic for high-strength and stable products was only widely appreciated in the world of industry, in the form of expensive engineering ceramics.
In 1998, the use of engineering ceramic with everyday kitchen knifes was a brand new development.

1997 PEPMATIK STAINLESS STEEL – the year that the electrical stainless steel mill was born
In 1997, the first
electrical stainless steel mill in the world was introduced – just one year
later, this mill proved to be a hit on the cookery programme
"Kochduell" on the German TV channel Vox.
Its retail success and its popularity among end-consumers rapidly made the product into one of the most successful innovations ever launched, with a long term impact on the market.
This success not only created a completely new market segment, it also enabled the company to become a market leader for electrical mills and a leading developer of accessories for the kitchen and the table.
1997 Introduction of the
first stainless steel mills in the world to have an acrylic window
Until 1997, stainless steel mills were only available in closed designs, which meant that it was only possible to find out a mill's content with guesswork or by trying it out. Thanks to the introduction of the first stainless steel mills with windows in the world, a free view of the mill’s content is guaranteed and the user no longer runs the risk of a nasty surprise when adding the seasoning.

AdHoc means made for now.
The AdHoc team have been developing, designing and producing according to this principle since the founding of the company in 1995. Inspired by the classic design principle “design follows function” products with a good deal “more” are created for kitchen and dining culture: more solid functionality, more beauty, more quality – more value. Because AdHoc products are thought through down to the smallest detail, fascinate with their straightforward elegance and are simply a pleasure.
